Thanks for the article. The benefits are clear to most of bilingualism / trilingualism…

I think the biggest benefit is in the use of this and context. Having a partner who speaks 5 languages in varying degrees and the weakest being very good it’s the ‘opening up’ of other people / cultures in context that is beneficial, whether in multilingual London to help somebody or discussing conflicts in a certain part of the world with people who have a connection there. Either way the gift is to make a positive difference to people’s lives.
